Why Cannabis? Why Now?

Curiosity

Cannabis is topical. Conversations unite policymakers, corporations and patients, even in countries where cannabis is illegal. As people are buying new products, using new services, and gathering new information, monetizing these exchanges allows for dollars from a new sector to be used for good.

Versatility

The cannabis plant is a multipurpose crop. Primed and ready to be used as an alternative in medicine, fibre, food, fuel and many other sustainable solutions, cannabis can help those suffering from pain, malnutrition, harmful materials, unnecessary waste, and community inequality. Cannabis can have the largest global and social impact potential on the planet and the way sectors continue to operate.

Ethos

Inherently, the ethos of cannabis is good. Ancient traditional medicine, scientific research and innovation, and sacred, spiritual ceremonies demonstrate how the plant has, and will continue to help heal the planet. The essence and purpose of cannabis can not be shadowed by “business as usual” and continued, unnecessary suffering.

A GROWING MOVEMENT

We live in a world of innovation and endless possibilities. Digital platforms, bio-technology, and artificial intelligence advance our quality and ease of living. And yet, world suffering lives on.

The global trend of cannabis legalization is at a critical point in time. By learning from past mistakes of global supply chains across fast food, fast fashion and fast pharmaceuticals, the cannabis industry has an opportunity to embed true Social Impact into the foundation of the world’s fastest growing industry.

To create this true Social Impact, Cannabis Global Impact, a social initiative and fund to help end world suffering, will focus on our mission for a slavery-free cannabis industry.

ACCORDING TO THE INTERNATIONAL LABOR ORGANIZATION THE BUSINESS OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING GENERATES AN ESTIMATED $150 BILLION IN PROFITS PER YEAR.
